Parks provide opportunities to exercise, bring communities together, and connect people to nature. The Healthy Parks Plan for Travis, Bastrop and Caldwell Counties will use parks to maximize health benefits, improve equity, and help local communities expand park access for all.

Steering Committee Kickoff
On April 10 The Healthy Parks Plan for Travis, Bastrop, and Caldwell Counties had its first Steering Committee Meeting at McKinney Roughs Nature Park. Attended by 40 of the region's leaders in public health and park planning, the meeting generated input that will guide the direction of the project.
New! Public Engagement Summary
The Healthy Parks Plan began its Community Engagement in January 2018 and concluded in January 2019. The Plan tabled at community events (“Speak Outs”), conducted in-person surveys (“Intercept Surveys”) and interviews with local experts, and held “Focus Groups”, online surveys, and phone polls.
